Peppermint bliss hot chocolate with Baileys:
Boil 2 cups of hot water in a two quart sauce pan. Reduce heat to low temperature and add two individual pouches of Starbucks’ peppermint hot chocolate mix and stir. Stir in a half cup of baileys liquor with two tablespoons of honey. Garnish with marshmallows. Yields: 2-3 servings.
Eggnog hot chocolate:
Boil 2 cups of hot water in a two quart sauce pan. Stir in 3/4 cups of Ghirardelli’s white moca mix and a 1/2 cup of almond milk. Stir contents on low heat. Stir in one cup of eggnog and one teaspoon of minced vanilla beans. Garnish with nutmeg. Yields: 2-3 servings.
Orange hazelnut hot chocolate:
In a two quart sauce pan, boil 2 cups of hot water with a 1/2 cup of orange zest for five minutes and stir.
Add 3/4 cups of Mama Rose’s dessert hot chocolate or Ghirardelli’s hazelnut mix with 1/2 cup of soy milk. Stir contents on low heat.
Remove contents from heat surface and set for five minutes. Add two tablespoons of honey or agave nectar and stir.
Use a strainer to remove orange rinds from hot chocolate and serve. Garnish with whip cream and cinnamon. Yields: 2-3 servings.
